Research & Campaigns

Citizens Advice Reigate and Banstead has a dedicated Research & Campaigns team. We continuously analyse data, submit evidence and conduct sound research to identify issues that affect individuals and families in our community.

Our Current Campaigns

We strive to positively influence the development of local policies through research and campaigns, to ensure our clients don’t suffer and can express their needs effectively.

It is important for us to know the needs of our community. We take the time and effort to understand the people and how they are affected by the changes in our society. Citizens Advice helped 2.7 million people last year and Reigate & Banstead office is seeing intensified demand for services and advice.

We support national campaigns run by Citizens Advice, especially when our residents lives are impacted.

These are some of the main issues we concentrate on, although our research and campaigns team regularly looks for relevant information that can help us improve our services and the wellbeing of our neighbours.

We had a significant increase in Universal Credit issues since the beginning of the pandemic. We want to make sure the welfare system works for all those needing support.

Tackling climate change is one of the most pressing challenges facing societies today. We’re asking the government to put consumers at the heart of plans to reach net zero.

We see evidence that scams exploiting the financial pressures that people are under are rising in number. Our advice and awareness campaign is empowering them to avoid getting scammed.

With energy prices soaring we deliver key advice to our clients, helping them save money, keep warm in the winter, choose the right energy provider and feel supported in difficult times.

Campaign successes

We submit evidence regularly that supports the success of national campaigns. Find out about latest Citizens Advice policy wins and campaign successes on the national site
