At CARBS we’re pleased to be part of the service providers’ network set up in 2017 when Reigate & Banstead Borough Council appointed our Redhill West Community Development Worker.
The Network encourages joint working and tries to make sure all its members are aware of the real interests of local people.
For example, it supports large well-established community events but is very keen to help set up smaller, estate-based activities.
Our District Manager Elaine Parr attended the Network’s second meeting of the year on 11 July at Salvation Army Community Centre in Redhill. Elaine said:
“The Network has got off to a great start. It always makes sense for public, charity and voluntary services to maximise their individual contributions by working together.
“Our CARBS volunteer advisers gain massively from links with colleagues in other groups who support our work for clients but also very generously help with our training.”
