How to make more of online marketing.
At this week’s Learning Lunch the RBBC economic prosperity team welcomed more than 40 local business people to hear why a strong performance online is vital for business success.
The topic was raised in a lively presentation from James Dempster of marketing consultancy Cobb Digital.*
James expertly took the group through the different stages of the customer journey: awareness, consideration, research, purchase, and advocacy (turning a buyer into an ambassador!). At each, targeted communication online is essential and do-able if you work at it.
The secret is planning: knowing what you want to achieve and measuring what social media, PR and online promotion are really doing for you.
The session was a great advertisement for Learning Lunches, just one aspect of the Council’s proactive economic development programme.
Attending the lunch, Councillor Eddie Humphreys, business and economy executive member, said:
“In Reigate & Banstead we’re committed to retaining our place as the leading business-friendly borough in Surrey. The council supports a wide range of pro-enterprise activities in support of existing businesses and start-ups.”
