We’re pleased to report a bright start to 2019 as FOUR trainee advisers join the CARBS team.
Our offices at Redhill and Banstead are each welcoming two new volunteers.
First base for new colleagues is observing experienced advisers’ contact with clients both face-to-face and on the phone.
Training Manager Helen oversees the learning programme:
“The feedback from new colleagues has been really positive. They’re amazed at the range of topics we deal with and impressed with the skill of advisers in finding the right tone for clients with different needs.
“They’ve seen a caring and sympathetic approach for a client in deep distress, swiftly followed by a professional, business-like tone for someone ringing in their lunch hour and just needing a steer in the right direction.
“Training is central to being an adviser at Citizens Advice, whether you’ve just begun or have years of experience. We have a CARBS Training Commitment* to show why it’s so important.”
* To ensure all volunteer advisers enhance their skills and knowledge; know how to give advice effectively; feel confident to help clients solve problems and lead happier lives.
