The August theme of the most interesting coffee morning in the county (and probably the country) is local natural history.
And heritage!
The Holmesdale Natural History Club was founded in 1857. It exists ‘to promote the study of natural history, local history, archaeology and geology in the vicinity of Reigate’. (Picture: HNHC collection)
We shall have an illustrated talk on the history of the club (now known to many as The Club Behind the Wall) as well as its many current activities.
Nature lovers, coffee lovers and everyone else welcome. Wednesday 7 August 1030-1200. Free entry, small charge for refreshments.
At CARBS we're delighted to help promote the Library's coffee mornings on the first Wednesday of each month. There's a shared enthusiasm between the problem-solvers and the world of information and culture.
