Citizens Advice Reigate and Banstead (CARBS) is to work in partnership with the charity Gamble Aware in support of the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms.
It’s known that Covid-19 is changing the vulnerability of some individuals to gambling harm.
CARBS Chief Executive Andrea Dunhill said:
“We are very pleased to play a part in this campaign. It’s essential to raise awareness of the harm gambling can cause and the potential for addiction. Our many links and recognition in local communities will help us increase understanding of gambling as a public health issue.
“Our role will be championing research, raising awareness and co-ordinating support for clients by referring them to Gamble Aware if appropriate. Along with colleagues at Citizens Advice Mole Valley, we will be available to organisations and individuals throughout the county.”
