Helping people now courts are closed.
We would like to thank local media for their stories* last week about the Reigate and Redhill courts closing.
They reminded readers and listeners that even though the Citizens Advice court desk closed along with the court we’re still here to help people facing legal action.
For example over the years we’ve helped hundreds of families with rent arrears and at risk of losing their homes.
People will have to travel further but before this they can be sure of help by calling our Adviceline on 03444 111 444 or coming into the bureau.
At Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead we think local access to justice matters. We argued strongly against the closure of our courts. That has now happened so everyone with a community role should, like our local media, do what they can to minimise the difficulties.
