Community Event Saturday 29 April.
Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead is again delighted to be taking part in the Banstead May Fayre. The event has been organised by the Banstead Village May Queen Group since 1985.
Our volunteer events organiser Helen said:
“The May Fayre is a great opportunity for us to tell residents about the work we do on behalf of the community.
“Every year our trained volunteers help hundreds of people who come to the bureau with problems that are spoiling their lives. Hundreds more begin to find solutions when they contact our telephone Adviceline.
“We’ll also be talking about our national consumer campaigns helping people get a better energy supply deal and avoid cyber-scams.”
Banstead May Fayre is an annual event for local charities. It’s held in The Orchard on Banstead High Street with stalls, rides and entertainment for all. Many local businesses, organisations and shops all get involved as well as the two local schools who provide traditional country dancing around the maypole.
The day starts with a parade leaving the United Reformed Church, Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead at 11.30am. travels along the High Street and into The Orchard infront of All Saints Church for the crowning of the May Queen and the opening of the fayre.
