“Great addition to local services”.
Better local services for Merstham residents and friends. That’s the promise of plans for the new community hub opening later this year with the support of service providers including Merstham Community Facility Trust.
A new drop-in centre is one keenly anticipated development.
At a briefing last week the trust spoke about the range of hub services which includes library, youth justice support and Citizens Advice. Providing a drop-in for those who appreciate a chat or cup of tea is an important aim for Merstham’s regeneration.
Janet Rimmer, Healthwatch champion, attended the NCFT briefing for Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead. She says drop-in and all hub visitors and their families will have easy access to CAB services.
“The new hub is a great addition to local services. We look forward to our existing regular service playing a full part.”
The regeneration of Merstham is an exciting long-term project led by Reigate & Banstead Council covering homes, shops as well as the community services.
