Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead has hosted colleagues from nine CA offices in Surrey at a meeting on policy research and campaigns.
Not everyone knows Citizens Advice does this work as well as providing the best (and best-known) advice service in the country.
The purpose is to use our advisers’ wide experience of people’s problems to help councils, businesses and other groups provide better services for Surrey residents.
We identify and investigate the most common and worrying problems (research) and discuss with organisations how they can change their policies and practice and make things better (campaigns).
The meeting on 16 February was held in the excellent facilities at Reigate Baptist Church.
There were representatives from CA offices at Woking, Surrey Heath, Epsom, Mole Valley, Runnymede, Ash, Guildford and Reigate & Banstead. Elaine Parr, Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead District manager chaired the meeting.
