The main worries for CARBS clients this quarter were as so often: Benefits and tax credits (29% of total), Debt (13%), Housing (11%) and Employment (11%).
For comparison, at national level the main categories in the year to April 2018* were the same but with notably different shares. While the size of Benefits and tax credits was similar (31%), Housing (7%) and Employment (6%) were significantly lower.
Debt problems at national level were much higher than in Reigate & Banstead at 28% of total.
In Reigate & Banstead the 2 largest individual Benefits and tax credit issues – Personal Independence Payment and Employment & Support Allowance – accounted for over one third of the total.
