‘Magic.’ ‘Mesmerising.’ ‘Nothing like a good story well told.’
Just 3 of the comments on an enjoyable hour with master storyteller, Alastair Daniel, at the Library’s May coffee morning.
Invited to lead a discussion on the ‘Social Art of Language’, Alastair showed how stories help us make sense of the world and discover our values.
Sounds serious? Yes, but absolutely hilarious too, especially his telling of Aesop’s fable, The Hare and the Tortoise.
Through dramatisation and body language, action and speech, Alastair made us laugh and think at the same time: magic indeed!
Don’t miss our next coffee morning: Balancing Life and Stress, Wednesday 5 June, 1030-1200, Redhill Library, Harlequin Centre. Why not bring a friend? No booking required.

At CARBS we're delighted to help promote the Library's coffee mornings on the first Wednesday of each month. We think there's a shared enthusiasm between the problem-solvers and the library's world of information and culture.
