Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead today welcomed colleagues from CA offices in Surrey to a meeting about social policy research and campaigns.
Just about everyone knows Citizens Advice provides the country’s best advice service. Not so many know we also work to change the policies and practices that cause problems for our clients.
Our advisers’ wide knowledge of people’s problems makes this possible. It means we can advise councils, businesses and other groups in Surrey as well as our residents.
We identify and investigate the most common and worrying problems (research) and discuss with organisations how they can improve things (campaigns).
Today we discussed upcoming campaigns to support Scam Awareness Month and highlight the growing problem of homelessness in our county.

Colleagues at the meeting were from CAB offices at Surrey Heath, Mole Valley, Runnymede, Ash, Esher, Reigate & Banstead. In the chair was Elaine Parr, Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead District Manager. The meeting was held in the excellent facilities at Reigate Baptist Church.
