Writing to clients, volunteers and the community, CA R&B District Manager Elaine Parr reports a busy 2017 and the certainty of change in 2018.
Benefit issues caused most worries. When income falls, for whatever reason, many clients are caught in a downward spiral leading to new problems with debt, housing and even mental illness.
Elaine pays tribute to our volunteers and partners across the community. Their continuing support will be vital in 2018.
We hope to find new premises accessible to clients who depend on our face-to-face service.
In March our Redhill office will close due to redevelopment. As yet no new base has been found but everything is being done to make sure our service continues. Elaine says:
“Change is coming, but we have strong roots and look forward to contributing even more to the community in 2018.”
