Our CARBS ‘Help To Claim’ project begins on Monday 1 April with full staff team in place.
Three experienced colleagues are joining the team following a competitive appointment process.
Kate Sharples, a volunteer supervisor in Redhill, and Juliet Barclay, a volunteer adviser in Banstead, take up part-time roles. Khensu Wright joins us from St Giles Trust which helps people facing severe disadvantage find jobs and homes and other support. Khensu will be full-time. All three are one-year appointments.
Andrea Dunhill, CARBS Chief Executive, said:
“I’m delighted we’re going to have such excellent new staff joining us. They will play a key part in ensuring local people get the support they need at the very start of the UC process.
“The ‘Help to Claim’ project is an exciting challenge for CARBS. It’s aimed directly at claimants applying for the first time who can contact us on a free phone number, through web chat or face-face.
“But we also want organisations to get in touch if they’re working with people who need to apply. We can help them signpost ‘Help To Claim’ or refer people to our service.”
