At Citizens Advice our twin purposes are to help people solve problems and to campaign for reform of policies that cause problems. Our national and local policy priorities this autumn are:
Loyalty Penalty To reduce unjustified premiums charged by essential service suppliers to customers who don’t or can’t switch.
Universal Credit To stop universal credit making people on low or no income even worse off.
Problem Debt To influence creditors of people with high council tax and other household debts to change aggressive, counter-productive collection methods.
Energy Bills To influence energy suppliers, the regulator and government to keep up efforts to prevent overcharging.
Housing Crisis To monitor clients’ experience at local level and help identify solutions to the housing crisis.
If you or someone you know could help with this important work we would love to hear from you: email firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet us @Reigateand BCAB
