On behalf of our clients and the whole community, CARBS is saying a special thank-you this week to 75 brilliant local volunteers who give their time and energy to help improve the lives of fellow citizens.
Along with organisations up and down the country, we’re supporting Volunteers’ Week to celebrate a fantastic contribution to the borough. In the past year these dedicated women and men dealt with some 12,000 requests for help and the value of their advice was estimated at more than £900,000.
As well as helping others, volunteering has been shown to improve volunteers’ well-being too. And volunteering can also help you gain new skills and boost confidence. Read why our Training manager believes volunteering at CARBS works for everyone.
