A lot of people think Citizens Advice is a nationwide public service paid for by government. In fact, we are free-standing local charities who are members of the Citizens Advice network but depend on grants – often from local councils – to cover basic costs.
As CARBS we’re very grateful to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council for their continuing support.
But as a local charity we must raise significant additional funds to survive. This year we’re facing rising costs from an enforced relocation in Redhill and higher demand as universal credit is fully rolled out.
